The recognition from Charulata and Mahanagar made Madhabi Mukherjee one of the talented actresses of the Indian cinema. But she won the national award for the film Dibratrir Kabya in 1970 and BFJA award for Joradhigir Chowdhury Paribar in 1967 and many more. Born on 10 th Feb, 1942 Madhabi was raised by single parent who was her mother. She began her career from the theatre, and debuted as child artist in Dui Beaee. She is married to Nirmal Kumar and has two daughters. Her autobiography Ami Madhabi was published in 1995.
